Zinc Café is a compact, beachside spot nestled right under the Kingscliff Surf Club, which makes it a natural stop for anyone spending time by the ocean. This café thrives on its stunning beachfront location, offering expansive ocean views that provide a calming backdrop while you wait for your coffee or breakfast. The seating leans toward casual and relaxed, with front-row spots perfect for watching waves or soaking up a sunny morning by the beach.

Best visited on clear days, Zinc Café attracts a mix of locals and visitors who appreciate good coffee paired with fresh-baked goods. The coffee itself is a highlight here, roasted by Social Espresso, known for their sweet, full-bodied blends. Patrons often comment on the quality of the espresso, making it a reliable choice for anyone serious about their morning cup.

The café’s breakfast fare leans simple but satisfying, with popular choices like toasted bacon and egg ciabatta rolls and freshly made almond croissants that pair well with the coffee. While the place can get busy (there’s sometimes a wait of around 20 minutes), the ocean view and laid-back pace usually make waiting more a chance to relax than a hassle.

The service here is warm and unpretentious, often handled by just one person who efficiently manages orders and keeps things moving even when the café is bustling. This hands-on approach adds to the welcoming neighborhood vibe.

Zinc Cafe suits those who want a casual beachside breakfast spot that merges quality coffee and fresh pastries with a seaside setting. It fits naturally into the rhythm of a leisurely morning walk or a weekend coffee tradition for locals. If you like taking your coffee with a side of surf views and don’t mind a little wait during busy times, Zinc is an easy choice to enjoy the laid-back Kingscliff coastline.

This is a small busy beachside cafe. Come here if you want to enjoy your brekkie looking at the beach. I reckon we waited abt 20 mins for meal and coffees but the view was so spectacular I really didn’t care. The service was friendly and helpful. We both had bacon and egg ciabatta rolls They are pre-cooked and toasted on demand. We both thought they were delicious and good value. This is not a gourmet dining experience it’s coffee and rolls on the beach. We loved it.
